Accurate weight in?

Okay, so I weigh myself every Monday of the week. The thing is, I never trust one scale only (I learned this the hard way) so I like to triple check aka use three scales to weigh myself. I use my scale at home, the scale at my school and the scale at the gym. Usually, the one at school and the one at the gym coincide while my home scale is off making me a few lbs lighter so I generally only trust those scales.
But today... I weighed myself on all three and got... weird results.
Home scale - 136.4 lbs - round to 136 lbs
School scale - 139.6 lbs - round to 140 lbs
Gym - 137 lbs
I need the right weight so I can calculate the amount of cal I burn at the gym... I decided to just go with the school one because I trust it most but it's so far off from the other two...
What do I do? I'm now confused on how much I exactly weigh and I need it for my workout tomorrow. Help!?

Well first off, are you eating after your home weigh in before school and the gym? What clothes are you wearing for each weigh in; are they the same with shoes and all? Are you drinking water etc? All that plays into it. The weight when you first wake up, after using the restroom and naked is the most accurate weight to use. You are adding in too many factors by weighing yourself 3 different places and can cause discouragement.0

Take your at home scale and take a dumbell and see if it matches the same weight as the dumbell.0

Don't be too worried about what the scale says, there are so many different reasons why it will give you different numbers - for a start different scales will probably show a different weight, plus water retention, food intake, bathroom visits, monthly changes all contribute to what you see on the scale.
I suggest that you pick one of those scales and just use that one. Honestly the actual number isn't that important, what you are looking for it to move down (or to move up or to stay the same depending on what your goals are). You calories burnt are always going to be an estimate, don't lose sleep over what the scale says.0 -
I use the scale at the gym for my official weigh-ins. I do have a cheap scale at home that I use, but it is usually a few pounds heavier than the one at the gym. I would think as long as you are consistent at using the same scale and same time of day for your official weigh in you will be alright.0

add the 3 weights together then divide by 3 and you have a mean weight go off that0

Thank you guys for the help! I think I'll just stick to using my home scale, despite how very little I trust it, because it's the only scale that weighs in the morning which is the best time to be weighed.
i appreciate the responses. You're all awesome!0 -

^This. BTW, Due to what level on the building you're at and what you got on and many other variables, you're almost never going to find the perfectly correct weight. However, you can try to seek peace in the fact that in this journey, its not the weight itself but rather the loss itself that should matter.
So try something that I do. I get up on Monday morning. Take care of my business in the restroom and then get on the scale naked. Whatever the number is, more or less than the last week, is what I have gained/lossed compared to last week and thats all that matters to me0 -
Good idea. That way you can see any changes that happen - and that's the most important thing.
You might like to take a few measurements too, sometimes they change even when the scale doesn't, and they are a great indicator of building muscle and losing fat.0 -
I weigh myself at the gym, so i have to go...I used to weigh myself at home but got obsessed and started doing it 4-5 times a day..CRAZY.. Good luck also go with how your clothes feel0

Also, don't freak out over small (or even large) fluctuations between weeks. I tend to step on the scale every day, and just yesterday it increased by 2kg in one day! This was due to multiple big workouts, lots of salt, and lots of carbs, but had this happened on a weekly weigh in i probably would have been quite sad because i would not have understood the potential extent of the fluctuation.
If you realllly overdo it on sodium (ie. eat chinese like I did) your measurements can even go up.
So if you have a suspiciously high weigh-in, either check it again a few days later, or put a question mark beside it and remain sceptical until next week.0
