The Desperado episode of Seinfeld is on. What is that song for you, that when it comes on, the world needs to stop and shut up?

Mine is Angie by the Rolling Stones.

I freakin LOVE Angie! Such a beautiful song. For me it's gotta be "For Free" by Joni Mitchell.

I used to sing a fabulously over-dramatic version of that song for my best friend all the time. You would hate me.

I have a lot of them but the two that jump out at me right away are 'Still Loving you" by the Scorpions and a guitar instrumental called "Bron yr Aur" from Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffitti Album...I played that on the guitar for my daughter when she was in her crib as a lullabye and everytime I hear that song it stops me in my tracks and I get weepy...

Tall Handsome Stranger by Marty Robbins, it is about a sheriff who doesn't want to go up against the stranger that has just come into town, he's been bragging that he will kill the sheriff for sending him to jail. The sheriff kills him in a duel & then we learn "that he must have forgot I taught him to draw", it was his younger brother:sad:

    OR.

Letter to Heaven - Dolly Parton, haha I like the sad ones:wink:
