help, my blender just broke!

Any suggestions on what brand to buy? Are those expensive ones worth it? My last one was a Hamilton and I had it 15+years...

I like my cuisinart. They are all similar, I guess. But I'll bet they arent made to last 15 years anymore

Not sure how big of a blender you are looking for, but I use this one for making my smoothies:

Works great and is the perfect size.

I have this KitchenAid model and LOVE it! It's super quick, easy to clean, has no exposed parts, looks very clean and sleek on the countertop. By far the best one I've ever used!

Vitamix all the way. It is a little pricey ($400), but worth it if you make lots of smoothies with frozen berries or something like oat bran and cottage cheese for breads.

I have a big blender but actually I bought this little ge one at walmart that makes it in the cup that you drink out of and it's so much easier. And it was only like $15 and we've had it for over a year with no problems

I bought the Ninja Master Prep food processor at walmart a while ago. It actually works just like a blender and I have not had any problems with frozen fruit or ice. It annihilates it actually! There are 2 different size containers. I must say it's pretty awesome! I've made marinades, salsa, smoothies and also it's just good for basic chopping, my only thing is you only need to press the chopping attachment just a time or two otherwise your veggies come out pureed.
Both sized containers come with lids and both have removable blades which makes cleaning it super easy. My old blender it was a pain to clean because the blade didn't come out and it sucked when it came to ice and frozen fruit. Spent more time with a spoon digging down in there trying to adjust the fruit and ice so the blade would get it. Total pain in the butt.

Bought the Ninja for about $40 bucks. I LOVE IT!
(go to walmart's website and look it up)

I love my Breville BJE200XL 700-Watt Compact Juice Fountain and use it A LOT. It was the cheapest one, and I wish I would have gotten the more expensive one...that hold more pulp.

My friend has one that's expensive, but it's a juicer, mixer, ice cream maker, soup maker...this thing does everything but wash the clothes and sweep the floor. It's called a Blendtec

For me the blender blade attachment must be detachable from the pitcher and as it comes off that be able to be threaded onto a mason jar... the original "magic bullet" IE blending separate drinks for everyone using a standard blender base... grates spices, coffee beans, frozen berries etc etc all right in a pre-portioned "cup" depending on what size jar you attach it to. I use mine far more often with the mason jars attached than I do with the actual pitcher it came with.

If you're just looking for a single drink size, then I recommend a Magic Bullet. It mixes protein drinks better than my blender, and quicker too!

if your just making single servings the Magic Bullet is Great, cause if its compact size and double blades you can pack & go with it, I love mine.

I also have a ninja blender (it's not a juicer...it's a blender) I got it from Target about 2 or 3 years ago, and it is fabulous. I got mine for 15.00 bucks!
