So completely pissed off at my dr. I am finding a new one. My dr didnt even comment on the fact that I have lost over 25lbs since she last seen me, even though shes always moaning bout my weight.

She told me I need to seek mental help on the exercise b/c I am being manic and obessive. I was working out bout 2 hours throughout the day . I have cut it back to 2 - 30 minutes of exercise. I am not trying to kill myself with exercise. Its like an activity to me, I would rather go walking for an hour than watch tv. I guess I need to be committed b/c I am not lazy.

She said a person of my size shouldnt really exercise more than 30 minutes a day 3 times a week and I shouldnt be losing more than 1/2lb a week. I **** more than a lb sometimes. LOL.

She said I am not healthy enuff to be working out more than 30 minutes. Number 1: My blood pressure is 108/70 hello thats very low of anyone and im 100lbs overweight. My pulse is 68, hello that's great. My total cholesterol is 170 normal is 200 or below. So how in the hell am I not healthy enuff to exercise???? I am not MENTAL or OBSESSED because I like the feeling of working out

She did recommended a site when I asked how many calories i should be consuming its called MYFITNESSPAL.COM. I told her I am on there and she said good. .

So I paid 25 dollars to be talked to like an idiot and treated like a child. And people wonder most Americans dont go to the dr. I need a dr that cares bout weight loss. I got no recommendations on what to eat, or how to exercise she didnt even want to discuss.

I found MFP on my own thats the only advice i get for weightloss from a DR????

I don't know what to think because I wasn't there. Did you communicate all of this information to her? Maybe she's concerned about your joints being damaged by too much exercise before you've dropped more weight? Or maybe she was biased and listen.

Nothing wrong with getting a second opinion from another doctor. Go for it!!

I think she knows my blood pressure, pulse, blood sugar, chlosterol levels. I was born with bad feet. The point is she is negative, she was even pissed when my personal trainer sent a release to exercise and when I asked about it she rolled her eyes and said I should have told them you cant exercise. Listen B word I was a an athlete I gained weight later in life when I traded in training for child rearing so dont tell me I cant exercise. I was walking 2 15 minute breaks and my lunch hour. I dont see how that is bad, actually I have the calves to prove it I have been that for yrs, thats not excessive for me its normal.

Ill admit I went overboard working out b/c I forgot how good the afterburn high is, I have cut back but I stilll expect a DR to give me advice and not roll eyes and ***** at me.

Lots of smaller people wish they had my blood pressure or cholsterol, body weight is not the ONLY indicator of good health.

I am the same way with exercise- I love it, and sometimes I push myself too far. I ended up hurting myself this time because I didn't realize that my weight held me back so much when I feel that I have energy. I got something called Morton's Neuroma on my foot- which hurts like crazy. It set me back a lot. But I also have had feet problems my entire life.

And you are right- I would get a different doctor, one that encourages you and gives you advice, not judgement. There are plenty of physicians out there who would be more understanding and encouraging. Judgmental doctors are the worst- because then you can't be honest with them and they can't properly treat you!
