Yes. It's every week for me. 1-2lbs. When I got close to 12% bf last year, it got slower for obvious reasons but for normal folks it shouldn't be a problem losing 1-2lbs per week if they follow their goals, and diet correctly.

thank you!! do you have a "Treat" meal a week or do you stay on track 100% of the time. I normally have a treat meal each week but im thinking i can speed things up a bit by not having a treat meal and counting any meal i have out in my normal calorie allowance.

I have. I have a plan. I follow the plan. It works.

Treat meals don't matter if they fit within your calories.

When the weight is coming off, yes. 1-2 pounds a week is a very healthy rate for weight loss (500-1000 calorie deficit per day, on average). You may hit a plateau that takes longer to work through, though.

I have lost at least 1lb every week but one which that week I stayed the same. I have been logging my food every single day since the end of January and have lost 20lbs so far. I log everything, even on a 'bad' day or holiday. I only eat back half of my exercise calories unless I am especially hungry that day. I usually work out 3x a week but mostly cardio. I do have a physical job though-I clean houses. I think the key is just finding out what works for you. Good luck!

I don't lose every week, but have lost a consistent average of 1.25lbs a week since starting. I used to fret over a week of no loss or a gain of a pound or two, but then really looked at my food intake and it usually was due to high sodium, eating somehing that my body does not like and whenever I change up my lifting routine I find I yo-yo a bit.

I do something similar to that. My basic plan (that I follow 6 days per week) is to eat between 500 and 700 calories less than my TDEE. One day a week, I treat myself to a nice lunch and/or dinner, and try to eat roughly my TDEE (if I go over a little bit, no big deal). I still wind up at a decent deficit for the week to lose around 1 pound, though for some reason, the weight seems to come off faster than I expect. Probably burning more calories on average than I estimated using the (BMR * 1.2) guideline for "sedentary".

I frequently eat less calories than my target on the normal days, if I'm not feeling particularly hungry by the end of the day and I just skip a snack.

Unless you have metabolic issues... just sayin.

I lose 2lbs a week but I have been adding 100 calories a week to get closer to 1lb a week since I'm nearing sub-15%. I eat whatever the heck I want. I eat some form of junk food every single day.

Simple. I established a daily calorie range. I stay within that range. I also calorie cycle. I plan a low calorie day (below the range) and a high calorie day (above the range). I avoid most processed packaged foods and I watch my sodium levels. I workout daily with about 30-45 minutes of cardio. A few days a week, I do double cardio. I also do weights and strength training 3-4 times a week. Every couple of weeks I change either my diet or the type of exercises I'm doing. I switch things up so that I don't hit a plateau.

    No magic. Just consistency.

I'm nearing the end of my bulk but during my last cut I lost almost exactly 1lb per week and I stopped at roughly 10% or so +/- 1% at an educated guess.

Yes - I lose 1-2lb every week eating at 1600 net calories.

lost 2.8 last week, not sure where that came from as it's not normal.

I've lost an average of 1.9lbs per week since I started. There's been weeks I've gained, weeks I've lost a lot more than that. But I have a lit to lose (and still a lot to lose) Aim for it, if you don't hit it no biggie. Just do the best you can!

I do lose about 1 lb per week, sometimes a little more. I'm in it for the long haul, so I'm not working out for hours a day, nor am I starving.

I follow the MFP plan which, for me, is 1,200 calories per day, and I burn about 125 calories on my daily morning walk.

Being honest with the calorie counting plus my daily walk is a good plan for me!

Best wishes on your health and wellness journey,

I don't lose every single week, but I get about a 9 pound loss in a month, which is a little over 2 a week on average. I typically have a week or two where I won't lose, or I'll gain, then I'll lose everything quickly. Finding out how your body loses weight takes out so much of the scale stress >.<
