Extremely Bummed....

I have been on MFP now 102 days. As I have been losing the weight, my calories decline. I have lost 50 calories a day since the start. I MISS THOSE CALORIES!!!! What do people do who only allow themselves 1200 calories a day??? I guess I need to amp up the excercise so I can eat more?

Um, yes. Burn more, eat more.

    Eat More, Weigh Less.
  • Like the previous guy said, add some extra excercise and get some extra calories for the day. All though, I find the less you eat, the less hungry you are over time if you arent adding extra excercise to your day!

What do you have your weekly loss set to? As you lose you should lower it as you slow down closer to your goal. That would give you some more calories to work with.

    Exercise, eat the cals back.

You could always keep the cals if you are still losing with them. No one says you HAVE to reduce them.

Another option is to change what you're eating. For example, I no longer throw cheddar cheese on my burgers. Sargento swiss has 70 calories a slice versus 110 for Cabot cheddar. Going from a 4 oz burger to a 3 or 3.5 oz burger saves more calories. Eat low fat yogurt instead of whole milk- a bunch more calories. By making simple substitutions, you can end up eating as much in quantity, but less in calories.

WORK OUT LIKE A MOTHER!!! Oh wait...but not like one of those mom's that claims there isn't enough time in the day. That is complete BS! COMPLETE! So ummm yeah....work your *kitten* off so you can eat like a crazy woman!

I agree with changing things up but the low fat options are not always the best route. You may be putting tons of artificial sweetners and garbage into your body or excess amounts of sugars. Watch your labels!

I rarely eat cheese now, so that isn't a factor and have cut down on my meat portions. I seriously need to amp up the excercise...its the only way. We are coming up on ice cream season LOL

Are you sure you're only supposed to eat 1200 calories? Don't go by what MFP tells you. Check your BMR and TDEE and set appropriate goals.

I only get 1200 cals a day and im back after a 2week off the band wagon absence. I feel awful for eating rubbish, I really got P*ssed off with only eating 1200 a day exercising at the gym 3 hours a week (850+ calories burnt a time) plus 7 hours of walking a week on top of working cooking cleaning blah blah blah and i DID loose a stone to begin with but then nothing not a jot for 6 weeks. It even bamboozled the man at the gym! so following no weight loss 3 deaths and my birthday I thought bugger it! I wish I hadnt now I couldnt feel worse! Completely on the floor. What do those letters stand for in the last post? Im looking for some explaination into the weight loss stopping and how to kick start it again and hopefully feel better (and lighter soon!!) Sorry about the massive post it all had to come out n better here where people may have had the same? or am i just weird lol

I totally agree with everyone else when they say excersise more. When i know i am going to be eating a lot for whatever reason, i run an extra mile or do more reps at the gym :) As for not following the MFP calorie reccomendations? I dont agree with them. I have been doing that thus far and have had amazinf results.

    Thanks :)

I have it set to lose 1 lb. per week. My calorie goal is now 1280...it was 1330 in the beginning. I excercise 3-4 days out of the week. I was up to 5-6 at one point but life takes over. I will just have to figure out how to get the time to excercise like a nut and still have a life :/

Totally agree. My rule of thumb for greek yogurt is that the protein has to be higher than the sugar content including the sugar in the teaspoon of maple syrup (the real stuff) that I add. Trading chemicals or sugar for fat is bad.
