Why do I have so much trouble wearing boxers?

This is going to sound incredibly naive, but I've never taken the time to ask. I've never understood why I have so much trouble wearing boxers. When I try to wear them, everything ends up showing through my pants. I don't know if I'm abnormally sized but I've really gotten sick of wearing briefs. They feel too restrictive. And yes, I realize that this sounds ridiculous. Am I doing something wrong?

    It took me a while to figure out what Calvins are. So naive.

    When I was in my teens and twenties, things tended to poke out a little more than they do now, if you know what I mean. But seriously, try a bigger size boxer.
