Who finds their diet difficult with the work hours they have?
I work evening/nights (I class them as nights when it's past 12am)
so 5-12 or 5-2.
It's only the past 2-3 days I've managed to work out a properly food plan (in my head) so I have a healthy meal on my break at around 10pm.
I work at Tenpin Bowling and I'm on my feet the entire time (7-8hours), I usually get my water intake for the day during that time, 1-2litres. The past 2 times I've had home cooked chilli but last ngiht i didn't take my break and ate at 1am when I got home :S
It's my second full week on calorie counting, I lost 5lb yesterday so must be doing something right.
Who else works somewhere they find getting food or preparing food hard?
Is it because we're mostly taught we eat at certain times or is it because I'm new at the job (2 months). I found my last job messed my eating patterns up too and that was 1-5:30 daily...

It's not the hours that are hard for me, it's my coworkers. They all eat like rabid animals and are teeny tiny. It used to be hard for me to turn down lunch invites from them for Chipotle, McDs, etc. Now I'm just like GTFO WITH THAT CRAP and I stick to my healthy fare0

The key is to plan ahead! If you don't get yourself prepared when you're not working, it will be very hard to stay on track those days you're particularly tired. And having snack foods at your fingertips doesn't help either (Oh, vending machine, how do I love/hate thee)!
You must be doing something right with losing 5 pounds already! Congrats!
Eating at regular intervals helps with binges. However, you don't have to eat at a specific time every time. Eat when you're hungry, if you can. Just make sure you eat enough food to support being on your feet at work!0 -
It's taken me a while to work myself out. I started SW last May, lost 1st, then started falling off track due to meals out and such, didn't gain but maintained for 5-6 months, I started work at Boots in November to December and the starting at 1pm didn't fit in with SW so I gave it up, still managed to maintain until Christmas, I couldn't get back into it after Christmas and gained the stone back plus another stone by the end of March... I finished at Boots in December (temp job) and was unemployed for 2 months, started at Tenpin where i work 5pm-12am 5 days a week (various days each week). I find calorie counting alot easier than slimming world would ever of been but as you've said, if i don't plan I find it hard.
I eat less cals working then I do when not working though, I think I tend to eat less sometimes too less... People laugh at the fact I take a packed lunch to work :P
Planning is hard, it makes me obsess and i feel unwell when I obsess over food. What do you think are the easiest low cal things to take to work?
