Okay, I'm patting myself on the back, but I am so excited! Less than a year ago my feet were killing me! They've been hurting for more years than I can count, numerous reasons. I want to get back into running, it just makes me feel so free! I tried the C25K, but really needed to lose a bit of weight - feet were killing me. On Veterans' Day (I'm a vet so I know I'll always remember that day) I began Medifast. I lost almost 35 pounds and now I feel I am running and my feet aren't killing me! I started with intervals like in the C25K program, and Runner's World has some programs, etc. I just started with intervals and this morning I did 10 min run, 2 min walk, 7 min run, 2 min walk and 3 min run! I feel so empowered and absolutely great - I kept going even when I wanted to stop during the 7 min interval. I'm also doing the Slim in 6 program 4 other days of the week (I run 2 days). Working my way up to P90X is my goal! Hope everyone has as good a day as I feel right now!

I suffer from Gout - Arthritis and when I have flare ups it is really painful in my feet. Check out gout.com. Do your feet look red or hurt to touch? Have you checked with a doctor to see where your Purine levels are? I recently started taking Alfalfa pills and Black Cherry Concentrate (all natural) from GNC and have had not had issues in a couple days. The normal medication makes me drowsy.

I would definitely look into better shoes. Nike tends to be a narrow fit and I simply cannot wear them. Brooks work best for me. I have had the ravenna, and the beast in the last year+.
