When I check in to MFP I recorded that I wanted to lose two pounds a week. It calcutated 1200 calories a day ands said that I would lose .9 pounds a week. Is it not recommended to lose more quickly. Also I thought that if I exercised more that then I could speed the process but I just read all the blog about adding your exercise calories so I am confused? Any suggestions?:ohwell:

I know you probably dont want to hear it but be patient and stick with what MFP has recommended for you, as it's set to be healthy weight loss!

I also had this question... It apparently will not allow you less than 1200 calories per day, it is not healthy to eat less. If you exercise that day it will add to your allowed calories what you have burned so your total allowance will go up, and you should consume these calories.

    Hope this helps.

It's because you only want to lose a little bit. 2 lbs a week is more for those of us who are obese or at least very overweight. 1200 is as low as you can safely go according to MFP so .9 lbs a week is as much as you can hope to lose...... but I mean, by summer you'll be all done so no worries! even with 2 lbs a week I'm lookin at next winter! lol:drinker:
