Howdy! Anyone in my situation? I'm currently 141 pounds and looking not only to lose weight, but to get in shape. I'm a former cross country runner and have recently started running again (I got 5 miles in today- 5 slow, slow, slow miles), which makes me confident I can reach my goals. My giant problem is my food consumption- ever since I started actually tracking my calories it's been obvious why I haven't been losing weight...
No stress, though! Getting active has been allowing me to make (and want to make) better food choices. I could always use some advice and friends on here!
Here is a picture of my from March 16th- I think I look a little more toned now, but what difference can a month really do?

I'm with you trying to get back to 125 for my 25th birthday, it's so amazing what your body remembers from old work out styles. 5 miles is 5 miles no matter how long it takes!0

I am the same 5'4" and aiming for 125 lbs! Add me if you like and good luck with your weight loss!0

I agree! Exercise is definitely the solution. I feel like it's slower to lose weight while you're also building muscle, but the wait is worth it0 -
I'm 5'6" and want to get to 125 as well!
Good Luck ladies... I really have to change up lifestyle... its just so HARD to break habits.0 -
5'3" and shooting for 120, never realized how bad my eating habits were until i starting tracking my calories!!! 15 pounds to go!!0
-
We are very similar. 5'5 143lbs aiming for 120-125. But I eat like a 300lb man. Feel free to request me, and best of luck in your journey!!!0

I'm 5'4" as well and am aiming for 130 (currently 163). I'm in the same boat! I've been working out but ignoring my food intake (until this past Monday - WOWSER it adds up fast). Well, good luck hitting your goal! I'm new here too so feel free to add me!0

You really look great. I'm 5'3" aiming for 129 pounds. I'll decide from there if I want to go any lower. Right now, I weigh 135 pounds.
Congrats on your success!0 -
whoo! congrats!
i'm just under 5'4" and ~120 lb. and i fee great! best of luck! :drinker:0 -
Not really related but I LOVE your top. I remember seeing it, wanting to buy it, and they only had size XXL left
Related....I'm 5'5" and my goal is up around 130-135. I started at 184 and am now hovering around 149 but I'm confident that weight will look good so long as I continue to strengthen my muscles.0 -
I am 5'1 and aiming for 120 pounds. I just want to lose weight and see how I look a long the way. I do not want to be to skinny and look unhealthy. its my goal to be toned and healthy looking0
-
I'm 5'4 1/2", so I round up to 5'5". I'm currently my heaviest @ 161 lbs & I'm shooting for 130 lbs. I just started really watching what I eat & exercising... thanks to myfitnesspal Looking forward to being healthier. Congratulations on the 5 miles... slow or otherwise, that's pretty impressive.0

I'm 5'4 and the smallest I ever weighed was 135 so that's my goal weight but 125 would be a great challenge!!0
-
I was in your situation last year, but I'm about at goal.
5'3" started at 146 lbs.
Now ~123 lbs ish and a little more muscley.
I'm crazy, I eat a lot, I party hard and I work hard.
But I also have lots of good knowledge and am certified to teach fitness classes :-)0 -
I'm at 5'4 as well -- my goal is around 135 -- that weight looked good on me but if I can hit 125 I certainly wouldn't complain. Currently sitting at 161.4 and down as you can see by my ticker almost 70lbs.
I started jogging last year, but over the winter, have slacked off seriously on it and now it's a struggle to get back into it unfortunately. Hoping once we have more of a steady stream of warm weather and longer daylight hours I'll find my groove again.0 -
I'm 5ft 4ins and I'd love to be 125. I'm 147 at the moment and have been stuck there ever since I pulled a muscle in my hip, so I've not been able to exercise at all (taking the stairs is a struggle still )
You're looking fab I should say, its strange because I think I look much wider!! Here's a pic of me finishing my last 5k race!

Sorry I can't paste it on here, just the link!
Could do with some motivation really, struggling to carry on with this as I sit like a couch potato going out of my mind!!!0 -
I'm 5'4" as well shooting for 125-120 range. I'm 130 now. Feel free to add me and good luck on your journey. PS. You already look great!0

Hey! Love your goal!
I am 5'4" SW of 133 and originally had a goal of 125. With the success I have had on MFP, I now have a goal of 110 and am several pounds away. The support and results have been awesome here!! Feel free to add me if you want to motivate and share your food diary!
I also was an old timer with XC.... Loved it so much!!0 -
I am 5'3 and aiming for around 130! I have a lot more to lose, but it sounds like you are doing great! Keep it up.0

I am 5'4" and shooting for 125. Current weight is 144ish. I stopped weighing myself a couple months ago because I hit that dreaded plateau! Just bought a really nice Horizon Treadmill last night and can't wait to put it together and push myself to get rid of those last few pounds. Good luck on your journey!!0

You look good right now--toned and fit. But I understand wanting to weigh less (that's why we're all here!). Reaching 125 will be slow going--it's harder when you're in pretty good shape and not really overweight; the last 5-10 are hard to shake; you gotta be really disciplined. I'm 5'5 and about 140 (I was 146) and I'm trying to get down to 135 or 130--I don't think I can get lower without starving myself. I'll need to see what's actually realistic. My advice--as you approach your target weight use the way your clothes fit and how your body looks as your real measures of success. We often use the scale as the most important measure of success when in reality I just want to be more toned and fit. Keep up the good work!!0

I'm 5'4" - 5'5" and would like to reach 130. Current weight is 167. Just started MFP not too long ago, it is amazing how tracking what you eat makes such a big difference! I love it and the great motivation you recieve on here! I just need to work harder on exercising! Congrats on the run, you look great. Feel free to add me! Good Luck.0
-
I am 5'6" and would love to be about 125-127. You are doing great! We have a similar issue. Not being huge, just eating like we are huge. I used to wonder why I could never drop these last ten pounds, and now I realize eating an entire box of Mrs. T's pierogies for lunch was not going to do the trick! HaHa. -- Friend me and we can keep each other motivated!0
