New mom losing weight

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for someone who is breastfeeding and trying to lose weight. I would just like to maintain a happy balance between keeping my milk supply and losing weight. I've lost all but 10lbs of my baby weight and I would like to lose 15lbs on top of that. Any advice would be appreciated.

My question was not only about breastfeeding but harmony while doing so, thus I would like advice from anyone not just the support group. Thank you though!0

breastfeeding is supposed to encourage weight loss. it helps your body "shrink back to shape." you shouldn't be dieting while breastfeeding unless you are supplementing with formula. otherwise, it will cut your supply.

I don't really agree that you shouldn't be dieting. I know you are compensating for the breast feeding. If you are eating enough for you and the baby.. I don't see anything wrong with staying within the calories you need to accomplish that.0

It's a pretty hard call - i kept 5 lbs from each baby that i never lost. And some women keep 10. If you don't lose it right away, it gets much harder.0
