Wedding Cake Topper Help!

Ok, so I'm looking for a cake topper and I can't find any I like for an interracial couple. I'm Caucasian and my fiance is African American. I've been on a bunch of websites and all they offer are silly ones (bride dragging the groom by the leg) or generic mix & match options. I can't stand either of them.

Does anybody know of a good company that offers more than just the mix & match versions?

I've been very lenient on a lot of other stuff: I'm pretty laid back but I'm not willing to compromise on some things and this is one of them.

Have you tried googling "interracial couple" cake toppers?

I'm getting my cake topper from a company that hand makes them to look almost identical to you and your fiance out of clay

Have you posted this on a wedding forums site? You would probably have good luck there.

I can't remember the last time I saw the little figures of a bride and groom on a wedding cake....so, sorry I'm no help at all. I have a few interracial couples as friends, and they used different ways of expression with their cakes.....different coloring in the layers, different flavorings, different flowers (symbolically). . .we all knew they were of different races.

I had a hard time finding a nice cake topper for my wedding last summer, as I didn't like most of the "couple" ones. My solution was that I found a fairly plain, but neutral cake topper on clearance at JoAnn Fabric ($5, yay!), which has a plain wedding band and a diamond ring, when I decorated it with some fake flowers, mini white doves, ribbons, and fake pearls--it looks gorgeous now, and I was able to match it to our wedding colors. I did find quite a few non-people toppers that were great, I just didn't want to spend a lot of money.

I got my cake topper from the wedding supply place in my home town they had everything. It really was a music box type figurine of the bride and groom with the music box in the base. I had to give the ones doing my cake a head up but they were able to put it on the top. It was wonderful.

I have sympathy for you and your fiance. My wife and I were married pre internet era and pre American Online era. My lovely mother in law was so loving to me that she got a thin brown maker and colored the groom for me. It actually turned out great!
