Need Help!

Hello everyone,
I have been tracking my food intake for 7 days (today is day 7) and I really need help! I need people who will push me, yell at me, motivate me and offer real support! In high school, I weighed about 135 and was working out nearly everyday. Since I went to college, I eat a lot of fast food or what ever is quick and do not find the time to exercise! I am now 165 and am severly unhappy looking in the mirror. My family is supportive but do not really understand because they all are 200+ lbs and have been big their whole lives and I never want to get there. So while they are supportive, they don't really understand and they look at me and think I am thin. I also currently have a roommate that is overweight and I always eat what they do because it looks much better then what is healthy
! So anyone looking to share tips, offer support, etc please add me as a friend!

It is awesome that you are trying to be healthy NOW! I was pretty much at a healthy weight all through high school and in my first 2 years of college. Then I moved 2500 miles from home, got depressed, and ate every bit of junk in sight. I gained about 85 pounds. I hit my highest weight in around 2002, and I have been fighting to get the weight off ever since (but truly not fighting hard enough). It was actually quite "easy" to lose weight when I was younger, but now after 2 children and turning 37, it is tougher. I wish I would have taken care of myself when I was young!
I think it is perfectly okay to enjoy the "junk" every once in awhile, but there are healthy alternatives to fast food that are truly not that bad. I am lazy about cooking/food prep. However, I know that by simply cutting up some fresh veggies, keeping my favorite fruits on hand, and planning dinners...I eat so much healthier. I need to get on track with doing all of those things too!
You can do it!0
