Do we have to reconsume calories we burn from exercise?

How important is it to eat back the calories that we burn from exercising?

Most people say it is important, but not to consume all of them.
Depending on how you calculate your exercise calories you could be off a few hundred calories.

I usually eat back around half of them, just because I don't have a HRM, and I'm positive that the calories burned calculator on this site isn't 100% accurate. You need a good amount of calories for your body to function properly. If you're only eating 1200 calories and doing NO exercise, that's fine, your body can run on 1200 calories. However, if you're eating 1200 calories and burning 600 in exercise, your body only has 600 cals to use, that's when your metabolism starts to slow down and you start not losing weight. You probably won't have any energy and won't feel well either at that point. Just experiment and see what works for you. Your body should tell you when you're hungry and when you need energy.
