i am still far from my goal weight (only 15 down, 125 to go), on my stomach, i have the watermelon, spiked look going on with my stretch marks. however they are not as red as they were a year ago. they are reddish at the top, but white the rest of the way down, the white ones are very soft.
so i was just wondering, just to prepare myself and not be shocked, when i go reach my goal weight, even with proper eating, cardio and strength, will my stomach be wrinkly? has anyone had this happen to you?
if this is what will happen, it stinks but i can handle it and will keep working on it until my stomach tightens up. i was just wondering. thanks!

I have not been pregnant and my tummy pooch was a result of bad eating habits. Anyhow, I have been doing crunches like a fiend - sure some say you cannot spot reduce but I will keep up with the crunches regardless. I also do strength/weights and cardio. I have also cut out as much processed sugar as possible and no lie a change was almost instant, 1-2 weeks my stomach was visually flatter.
I too have stretch marks, some on my stomach, some of my hips, some on my inner thighs. I think some are simply from growing and others are from the added weight that stretched my skin - obviously. I have been using pure vitamin E oil and the jury is still out but I have only been doing this a few weeks. Nothing will remove them but my goal is to lighten them up hopefully so they are a tad less noticeable.
Long story short, my once full fatty pooch is now a wrinkly saggy flatter pooch. I guess I will take what I can get with that. At least I don't have the roll you could see through my shirts anymore! Now in shirts it just looks flat, under the clothes it's a different story but nobody sees me naked other than dh.0 -
I have been using a combo of 100% natural African shea butter and bio oil on my stretch marks. I have heard wonderful things about the African Shea butter. It's just all around good for your skin. I use it a couple times a day. I don't expect it to fully expect my stretch marks to go away but I am hoping it will fade them out with time.
As for the saggy skin I think toning and time are the best things for that.
I hope this helps!0 -
I have been using mary kay target toning lotion, mary kay full body toning lotion and bio oil for almost two years and after losing 202 lbs my body looks amazing. I get compliments all the time ..I usually have to show people pics lolol they don't believe I ever was 350 lbs lol0

I don't have horrible stretch marks, but I do have some subtle ones on my hips and inner thighs. I think Bio Oil works wonders! Not cheap, but a little goes a long way.0

No they dont go away. And nothing you put on then outside of your skin will make them either.
I know certain things will "reduce the appearance" of them but if they are there they are there and thats it! Short of having them surgically removed there isnt much you can do :-(
I have this on my belly, It sucks. Was told by my doctor after having my son the only thing to fix is surgery.
No matter how fit I am (which I am getting extremely close to where I wanna be) I will never have a normal stomach and will never be able to wear a bikini. Its soo sad but true.
On a brighter note getting fit will make you look good in almost everything else so stay with it. & if you find some miracle thing that works for those stinkers let me know!!!!!!!0 -
Yeah my belly is full of them, ( I had a 10 lbs 11oz baby in 2004 he did some damage to my skin) they are white now and not red anymore. My belly is flat and my skin is just slightly loose. I wear a two peice bathing suit especially in my pool at home. Those strech marks are battle scares for me, I earned everyone of those be-otches from three great kids and they are a badge of honnor for me, I dont care what the world thinks!0
