My cholesterol is way down

Dear Pals,
I started here last September after my doctor told me my total cholesterol was 245.
I did the American Heart Association diet, counting calories and fat/carb/protein here.
No more fast food, very little beef or bacon, alcohol down from 1-2 a day to 1 a week.
Oatmeal and lots of fruit and vegetables.
Walking increased from 20 to 60 minutes every day.
Weight today is 174, was 189. (I was down another 10, but put that back on while experimenting with maintenance). Holding steady at 174.
Today my total cholesterol is 180 (was 245).
good HDL-D is 46 (was 42)
bad LDL-D is 110 (was 132)
Triglycerides 113 (was 186)
The doc told me diet and exercise do not work this well for everybody, so I am happy and lucky.
He wants me to increase exercise and tighten fat in diet to get the LDL-D down to 100.
