I have the Garmin Foreunner 110 (Ladies)....LOVE IT. Very very easy to use. My husband has the Forerunner 305 - it's ancient but he swears by it. one thing I will say about Garmin's though...their HRM straps aren't as comfortable as Polar's....just my opinion.

I have an old Garmin forerunner, I think its the 305, only comes in blue and red and is big! I have little wrists and is quite large on me.
Anyways...I looked at the Forerunner 110 and I like the way they looks. Is it easy to use? Someone gave me a Garmin watch with the heart monitor strap, I cant remember which watch it is but I cannot figure out how to use it! A running watch should not be that complicated!!

Go to Garmin.com. You can download the user's guide and register it to keep updated on upgrades.

    Thanks for the tip!!

    Garmin Forerunner 410 now.

    Did have a 305 and a 405 (which broke).

The 410 is pretty much the same as the 405, but the Calorie accuracy with the heart rate monitor seems a lot more realistic compared to the 305 or 405, and a polar I've tried. All of which seem to pick the amount of calories you burn out of thin air, and hugely over estimating your burn, whereas the 410 takes your heart rate into consideration with the burn.

I couldn't live without a GPS watch and run or cycle!

I've had the Garmin 305 for over 5 years, but thinking of upgrading to a newer, smaller model.

When my 305 croaked I treated myself to a 610 - I love the new chest strap (almost identical to Polar's) and the touch screen operation.

I have a garmin 405 with the HRM. I love it. I like that I can download my runs and keep track of my running. If you are not looking for a HRM, I used runtastic on my iphone. There are many apps out there for gps - once upon a time runtastic was a free app of the day which is why I have it :-)

I have the Garmin Forerunner 405cx which is a recent upgrade from a 205. I like being able to use the HR monitor during runs but also during indoor cardio activities. I'm not sure how accurate the calorie burn is though..... but for tracking distance it's great.

I just use Runkeeper. It's free and works great, even if you're off the grid.

    Garmin ForeRunner 205.

It's not the fanciest one out there, and doesn't have a heart rate monitor hook-up like it's 305 brethren, but I've found it to be pretty accurate, and easy to use. It also uploads info easily onto places like Runkeeper, so I can keep track of my miles more easily, and share with peeps.

Only thing I don't like is the stupid proprietary charging cradle it requires. Without that damn cradle, you have nada, and life is just sad.

Garmin 310XT. Goes from my wrist mount to a bike mount in a snap, waterproof, and monitors heart rate. Downloads wirelessly to my computer as soon as I walk in the door. All the features I could want. Love it.
