Reverse Body Image Issue

I hate this and even though I know it happens every time, it still pisses me off.

Typically, before actively making healthier decisions in my life for my body, I feel 'okay' about it (say, 6-7 out of 10 - 10 being best) but as soon as I'm consciously aware of my body and making changes (to feel fitter, wear my smaller clothes, my movement, etc.) I feel worse... about 4 out of 10. My clothes feel tighter, my insecurities increase and I'm more prone to focus on the negative. It's such a major pain!

It's kind of like 'ignorance is bliss' - but not exactly.

Does anyone else experience this?

I know that eventually it will go away as I continue to exercise and feed my body with love and care but this initial hyperawareness is a major annoyance.

I've never experienced this, but I certainly see how it could happen. Keep your chin up, girl. Be confident in yourself because you're doing the right thing for your body and your health. And confidence is sexy!!

Right there with you....I can be blissfully unaware of flaws when I am at a heavier weight/not monitoring myself but become aware of every flaw when I am working on losing. I have surpassed my goal weight and am now focused on toning up my legs and abs and no longer focused on losing. I am the smallest I have been since my early teens but am still struggling with "fat" days (lower body--not my upper body) periodically...hoping that with a bit more toning those feelings will go away :). Good luck resolving your body image issues!
