I found a recipe for kale chips and OMG they are delicious!! I can't stop eating them...and I love that I don't have to feel slightest built guilty!!
Even if you don't like greens, you have to try this!! It satisfies that craving for something salty and/or crunchy!
Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
Take a bunch of kale and rinse and dry well.
Chop into pieces.
Put into a bowl and sprinkle with 1-2 tsp of olive oil.
Spread on cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with lightly with sea salt and garlic powder (or whatever seasoning you like).
Bake for about 18-25 minutes until crispy!
Seriously, it's addictive!!

I just discovered these this week too! So yummy!
Raw kale is about 50 calories for 100 grams. I weigh it out on my scale and about 75 grams was plenty for me. The olive oil is another 60 calories for 1/2 tbsp. Tasty and low cal snack!0 -
bump, I must try this!0

I built the recipe in the recipe builder here and this is what I came up with...
Per 1 cup serving -
56 calories
7 grams carb
3 grams fat
2 grams protein
1 gram fiber
229 gram sodium
I used 4 cups of raw kale, 2 tsp EVOO, .5 tbsp garlic powder and 1/2 tsp sea salt.0 -
bump so i remember to try this!0

I love kale chips.
I find the only way they are dry enough is if I wash the kale the night before before making them....0 -
Gotta try this!0

Okay, when I tried to make kale chips they were very bitter. Any suggestions? Jacques Pepin recommends a much lower temperature setting...maybe I'll try that.0

Pro-tip, if they are still floppy and not crisp, do not eat.
i actually did mine at like 350 for 12 or so?0 -
neoterrar--I could just tell by looking at you that you were a madman.0

I made them for the first time the other night. I used the same method as above, then with about 5 minutes left I sprinkled Parmesan cheese on them . Very good.0
