Used a bad day as motivation !

I had a bad day, very angry and disappointed.
I decided this afternoon while at work that the best way to burn off some of my anger would be to run when I got home.

I completed 8.1 miles tonight in 1 hour and 18 minutes.
My furthest distance and best time EVER !!
9.43 min/mile !!

Take that #@!$%$#%#$%

And now I'm not angry anymore and I can say this day ended on a high note....
Thanks for reading my little rant.....
:drinker:

Glad your run helped, and hope whatever issue it was that made you angry is resolved. Great run, btw. I am always amazed by people who are able to run - I'm not that graceful. :o)

This really helps. My 18 day old grand daughter died in December. I remember doing the kick boxing part of P90X on day shortly after. Got alot of my anger out kicking and punching at death.

I can't thank you enough for your encouraging words. I'm a runner, but have lost some motivation. I had a HORRIBLE day calorie wise and I saw this....now I'm gonna take my anger out on a good long run!

So sorry to hear about your loss.
I lost my dad in May 2010 to Cancer.
I have turned my life around since then.
Stopped smoking, and starting eating better, lost some weight, etc.
I'm sorry I waited so long to start but sometimes it takes a tragedy to wake us up to the blessing that life truly is.

I have learned to fight for my health.
    I fight the self doubt.
    I fight the laziness.
Today I fought sadness and anger.

Life is worth fighting for everyone!
Go out there and kick some *kitten*!
