Waterproof weights?

I know you can buy weights in pool/spa books but since I don't have one of those catalogs anymore and thought of this just now I'll ask:
Does anybody know if the "GO WALKING" 5lb dumbbells are okay to be put in water, i'm not going to submerge them but if they get wet I don't want them smelling. Or should I just carry them above my head as I do my jogging in the pool?
Any other suggestions for resistance for my arms while exercising in a pool?

Pool "dumbells" come in styrofoam material. The resistance underwater is like using weights. Different sizes produce different resistance.
Try a pool store or sporting goods department store.0
