hi everyone! im am 3 days new to mfp, loving it so far but i am having difficulty with the serving size option when i enter my foods. either the serving size option is too small or too big, is there a way to change it? ex. i put 2 tsp of sugar in my coffee but that serving size isnt there. any advise would help...thank you

  • I just adjust the number of servings. If the best available serving size is a tablespoon and I use a teaspoon, I enter 0.33 servings. 3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon. I often eat 1/2 a banana, .5 servings of 1 cup of something etc.
  • thank you for your advise. i will give that a try! i was thinking i was entering something wrong.

There's also another option that's worth knowing. If the serving size is "43 g", the down-arrow to the right should give an option"1 g". Same with ounces.

Thus if your scales say 49 grams, you simply put 49 servings of "1 g". Much easier than working out the fraction.

Ha ha! I've been doing fractions for so long, I never even thought of this . . . D'oh!
