eff what the scale says!

I don't know if this will help anyone, although I am hoping it does.
I keep reading threads and posts about how people are not losing weight, or how the scale is not budging.
&I admit, I have become victim to what the scale reads in the past ( i used to weigh myself obesessivly), and no that's not the case any more.
So maybe this will help a few of you. This story isn't about me, it's about my brother, who at the age of 16 decided he wanted to join the army, so he did. he went into there being out of shape and weighing in around 200 lbs
&when he was done his training he walked out weighing the exact same but it was all muscle. He looked completely different!
Just trying to help people out here, I know we tend to worry about what the scale says, but think about it this way, if you're FEELING better and your clothes are FITTING better, then that's great!

If it was really about the number on the scale, then you could lose a limb and be happy... but as we all know, that's not the case

what if your not seeing any loss on the tape measure either? I have been strength training for the entire time...my muscles have been so freakin sore I could hardly move, and they still get sore, just not as bad. What then?0

i'm not an expert, how often do you strength train? I know your muscles need time to heal, so maybe take a day or two off?0

definitely agree with the OP ... the scale is not the only indicator of weight loss

I needed to read that today. Thanks. Scale has not moved since last week but I do feel better and clothes do fit better. I'm doing things right. Guess I'll start taking measurements now too.
