I'm trying to lose weight for my wedding. I've started using my fitness pal, watching what I'm eating and go to the gym nearly every day, but yet I've only lost 7lbs so far. I keep thinking whats the point if I'm not really losing anything. Anyone got any suggestions for me???

The only real advice I can give you is to just power though it...I went though that same thing about a month ago. Where I was doing everything right (working out, in my cal limit etc.) but wasn't losing. it can be so discouraging, but power through and you'll be fine!!!!

Yeah, give it time to work.
There are several factors that could be causing you not to lose weight.
Right now you HAVE LOST 7 pounds. That is better than not losing or even gaining.
    Take that victory.
    Now BUILD on it!
    Stick with this lifestyle change.
Adjust your eating and exercise. Everybody works a little different.
Measure your body to see if you are losing inches instead of pounds.

only 7 lbs is you weighing 7lbs less than you did! And soon that will be 14lbs less, and so on, so keep it up! I know how you feel, I have now lost 17lbs and don't feel, or look any different, but I'm now determined to keep on going until I DO lol - so just be faithful to yourself and MFP, and keep on seeing the differences! It might help you to take measurements of various areas (waist, hips, calfs etc) to give you another indicator of where and when losses occur. Good luck!

Congratulations on the 7 pounds.. that's a great start.. I recently stalled on my weight loss and i realized that i wasn't eating enough. Make sure that your ~net calories~ is at least 1200. That's what worked for me. Stay Strong.. It will come..

you are doing good! it didn't come on overnight, even though it might seem like it ;o) and it isn't in a hurry to go away.......just stay focused on your goal and you will reach it !!!!

you will be so glad you did.........don't give up :o)
