Okay, so I am SUCH a chocoholic that nothing makes me happier that a bowl of this stuff in the morning. Maybe it's not really a novel recipe, but I'm sharing it anyway.
1/2 cup of oats
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
1 tablespoon of Hershey's unsweetened cocoa
Water
Cook for 1.5-2.5 minutes depending on microwave.
Add sugar to your liking! Anywhere for 2 teaspoons to a tablespoon.
It's not super sugary, contains protein, will definitely fill you up, is delicious, and will curb your chocolate cravings. (Well, at least it does for me!)
Heck, maybe someday I'll even add a little banana!
What's your favorite oatmeal concoction?
(If you like plain oatmeal, add like 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla and some craisins! The craisins rehydrate!! Yum).

Love this! Thank you!!
I also have used sugar free jellies or syrup. Great way to change up oatmeal so I don't get tired of it0 -
I put in a couple tablespoons of sugar free maple syrup in my oatmeal with a dash of salt. It only adds 15 calories and is loaded with flavor. I don't miss pancakes/waffles/french toast anymore.0

This actually sounds pretty good, and I'm not the biggest fan of oatmeal. May have to give this a try!0
-
I replace the cocoa with some kind of chocolate protein powder. Yum!0

That's a good idea!!0

I love porridge, with anything in it! What are craisins?0

i often make my oatmeal with half a banana, cinammon, flaxseed, and maybe a little bit of vanilla. ooor berries of some sort and almonds! also great!0 -
For some reason, I love putting dry oatmeal on peanut butter sandwiches. Mixing chocolate with peanut butter and oatmeal sounds like an awesome combination (although, not on a sandwich).

this is my breakfast/lunch every day I use a variety of PB&CO flavours to mix it up also. And add a scoop of protein after it has cooled for about 2mins then stir in.
Cinnamon also goes very well0 -

I have two favorite "oatmeal concoctions" The first one is quakers old fashioned oats w/ cinnamon, brown sugar, peanut butter, and flax seed (and a little soy milk if I have it around)- and the second one is oatmeal w/ cinnamon, brown sugar, flax seed, walnuts, strawberries, and blueberries :0).. I love oatmeal, and I love spicing it up!0

I usually like adding peanut butter, a bit of brown sugar, and some fruit.0

Yum! I always add peanut butter to my oatmeal - sometimes I also add a grated apple and teaspoon of cinnamon.0

So funny you wrote this because when I was making my oatmeal this morning, I was staring at some cocoa powder but decided not to use it, LOL. I'll be making this tommorrow.0

BetterOats has a Lavis Dark Chocolate Oatmeal that I have been eating for breakfast. It comes in a box of 5 packages, you add water then heat in microwave for 2 minutes. Once it is done I add a tablespoon of peanut butter. It has 255 calories, 37 carbs, 11 fat and 8 protein. It fills me up until lunch.0

Sounds ummy! I will try this! I also like to make rolled oats with cut up chunks of apple, raisins, and walnuts. Then put a little pure maple syrup on it. Another great way to enjoy oatmeal!0
-
i usually sprinkle a tsp of cinnamon in, that adds 6 cals.
also good with tbs of sunflower butter, or a little brown sugar and pure maple syrup.
good with blueberries too!
oatmeal is awesome0 -
