Gardening Ideas or tips?

I have my garden spot ready to start planting and I'm really excited. I usually plant corn, tomatoes, green beans, yellow squash, cantaulope, sugar snap peas and zucchini. O and a variety of peppers.
What are your favorite things to plant and do you have any planting tips?
Any idea how to keep worms out of the corn? Or how to keep the squash bugs away?

    How about broccoli? I envy you the ability to grow tomatoes. Here in Seattle we just never get enough sun to make them thrive.

    I tried broccoli 2 years ago and didn't get anywhere, any ideas? LOL When I lived by seattle (Vashon) I couldn't grow anything. All the deer ate the garden before it grew 2 inches.
