Sometimes... unfortunately I get to the stage where if I'm the slightest bit over my 1200 my BRAIN says "stuff it" - you've blown it now - might as well stuff your face.......
and sometimes when I just eat what I want, when I want and not count calories I lose weight...............what's going on !!!
:huh:

For me its all in the exercise..If I don't walk or do something...(mainly walking alot..abit of wii-ing) I'm not in a gym or anything..(been thinking about that but don't want to spend time indoors when its been so nice out) then everything I eat seems to turn into a lump!!!..(stomach, hips etc..haha)
Yesterday I only ate 1000 calories and wasn't at all hungry ...and, I thought, ate quite alot as well...but over Easter I indulged in Maltesers,,three packets of them..+ a big sunday roast...MMMM NOT good for the diet...
Happily I've lost the 2lbs I put on from that meal, plus abit more now.
Another thing is I haven't bought any biscuits,cakes, ice cream etc for 6 weeks now...Not to say I haven't had any..when I go out for dinner etc...but not having them in front of my face is helpful....If I have to go to the store to get something, I kinda go off the idea....
Must be hard when sitting at a desk all day..but exercise is the key...for me anyway.....
(Drag your hubby out for a walk at night or something....haha_0 -

Listening to your body to tell you when it's hungry might work better than counting calories for you. 1200 calories might be too few for you.0

I soooo used to be like that(: but I'm pretty good now about not going over my calories now.
When I have a cheat day I cheat big. On Saturday (which was my birthday) I weighed 142.5, then I pigged out on Five Guys burgers and cajun fries, birthday cake and lots of bad food(; and then Easter was the next day and - again- I ate a boatload of breakfast (cheese grits, pancakes, buttery rolls... I went all out(: ) and then a crazy amount of Easter candy. Typically I don't let myself have that much cheating, but hey, it was my bday and Easter... I mean c'mon(;
But as of this morning I weighed 142.9 (: So I still lost this week (and technically it hasn't even been a week... it's just been 6 days)
Maybe it doesn't work with everybody, but I actually lose *more* when I let myself cheat once or twice a week(:0 -
It could be the age old story that when you're watching what you eat, you're not eating enough, so when you over eat, your body is able to relax and let go of some of what it's holding onto.0

Maybe 1200 calories is too low for you so when you do go over that allowance you may be consuming the correct number of calories that your body actually needs to lose weight.0

You know, I think you're right. How come no-one has said that so succinctly in all the time I've been dieting.
thanks, gonna have a rethink I think...
