I find that i have absolutely no problem staying in my calorie range, however, i go over my carbs and sugare pretty much every day. Even when i make an effort to keep it lower it still is high. I know its because i eat too many skinny cow icecreams and 100 calorie cereal bars with my spare calories, but its fruits and such too.

How much do YOU aim for each day, and what are some good low carb/sugar yet a little sweet snacks? :)

If you are a carb eater try raising you carb goal. It will lower your protein though.

How do we change the goals? I can see how to change what shows up on the tracker, but don't know how to change the percentages

On your home page, click goals. Then manually set your goals.

Why not just give up the cereal bars?? They are processed junk anyway. You could make your own granola type bars with fruit.

I watch my carbs... I am carb crazy. I try to bulk up on proteins before reaching for those bad carbs. I have a long term love affair with crackers... LOL.

    For me:
Breakfast - protein shake. protein bar. jerky. nuts. (I pick one)
    Lunch - veg and meat
Snacks - protein shakes. bar. jerky nuts (again, pick one, but snack often as needed)
Dinner - meat, veg, good carbs
I try to skip any sweets. I do grab those crackers every now and then, but I am cutting back. Just don't buy them, and they wont be there to eat?!?! :)

My limit is very high, but then I am very active. Use caution when setting goals based on what others are doing. There may be variables you're not aware of.

I too struggle with keeping my carbs low so here is what I have learned:

Snack on raw veg rather than fruit - so crunchy carrots, raw brocilli and Cauliflower with humous.
Reduce the low cal bars replace with protein bar - just eat half of it for same calories
Keep some hard boiled eggs in the fridge for when really hungry and cooked chicken to snack on.
Cottage cheese also good source of protein and great as a snack with cucumber and a ryvita
Nuts good protein - each 15 almonds as a snack
Rice cakes good as a savoury mouth occupier
crunchy organic peanut butter - on a teaspoon
greek yoghurt mixed with peanut butter and frozen
protein powder mixed with greek yoghurt - tastes like cheesecake - freeze if you like

I'm often over on carbs too... and always sugar. personally, I stopped tracking sugar because eating 1 apple would pretty much end it for me! as long as the sugar sources are good ones (fruits and veggies) you don't have to worry (in my opinion).

as for carbs, it depends on what % you're set at. if you're goal is only 30% carbs I'd say going over a bit is not a big deal - however if it's 50%, maybe you should really work on it!

and you can ease yourself off it too - if you normally eat a sandwich for lunch, try it with ONE piece of bread and use a piece of lettuce as the top "bun." stuff like that. you will get it under control eventually :)

Just took a very quick look in your diary - ditch the cocoa puff treats - they are what's doing the damage not the fruit!
