The most helpful for me is to log everything you eat. It's a hassle at first, but after a week or so, it becomes easy and then you can really start planning some good eats! Good Luck!:flowerforyou:

Don't buy junk food into the house and you won't crave it. That's been my biggest help. There's still a bit of easter egg left here and I'm actually just trying to get rid of it so that it isn't annoying me any more.

Don't be afraid of having snacks, but make them healthy foods. Fruit, veg, etc.

Substitute foods - Replace white flour foods with wholegrain where possible. People will say to cut down on that kind of foods in general, but finding the healthy substitutes of foods you want in your meals is an easier step than cutting things out entirely. Diets of complete deprivation are phenomenally hard to maintain.

FOOD SCALES. Best kitchen tool ever!

Skinnytaste.com has awesome, healthy recipes that kids would love too! I love it and most of the recipes are already in the MFP database! Also, I agree on the food scale. Measure, measure measure everything. It all adds up!
Keep fresh cut veggies in your frig. If you 'think' you're hungry, go for a piece of cauliflower, broc. whatever, and if you're TRULY hungry, it will taste good. If it doesn't sound good, you're mentally hungry! Get a drink or find something to distract you from wanting to snack.
Good luck to you, YOU can do this!
