How much do you need to lose overall?

I am in a similiar situation, it isn't that i HAVE to lose it in two months but that is my goal, I want to lose 25 lbs by June. I have been working out with a personal trainer, doing zumba, and lots of cardio. However my main problem is what I eat. I haven't lost any weight yet but my BMI has gone down! I am really concentrating on carbs, fat, and sugars more than anything. Good luck to ya :)

It's not possible if you want to do it and be healthy about it. We are all there? We all want to drop it fast, but life sucks lol. I will be on my trip in a month and I am missing my goal by about 15 lbs :(

you could do it but it might not be healthy for you. losing weight too fast often means losing muscle or setting yourself up to yo yo. If you're trying to find your swimsuit body, you might be better served to focus on something that tones and reduces size while just taking dieting at a reasonable pace, unless failing to weigh x amount on a scale means you don't get to enjoy your trip or have to pay double or something odd like that.

It depends how overweight you are to start off with. some with 150 lbs to lose probably could drop 30 if not more in one month. but someone who just wants to lose 30 pounds it would be really really tough to do HEALTHY. It sounds like if your going on a trip its more about your appearance than a number so i would suggest tons of cardio, hit the weights to tone up, and low cal...good luck!!!!

Instead of focusing on a certain number on the scale, why not focus on getting more fit instead? It would be greatly beneficial to lift weights while doing a reasonable calorie restriction (not too much or you'll stall out) and get "tighter" rather than crash diet and lose an unhealthy 4 lbs a week just to meet a certain number for a specific event. You might find that by keeping a good lifting and exercise routine, that in 2 months you've lost several sizes, and look better with losing "only" 15 lbs than if you lost an unhealthy 30 in the same amount of time.

I am currently 5'5" / 210 / 44 yo female. My ideal weight is 140. I know i'm not going to be near swimsuit size...but at least at 180, the way i carry it, i can fake it enough to not be ashamed to see old friends. sad huh?
