I guess with watching calories it's going to be easy to find that our diets are deficient in certain nutrients ( in fact may have been already ).

Any views on benefits of multvitamins and minerals whilst watching those calories / weighloss?

I take a multi-vitamin. Not sure if it does me much good but for what they cost it's cheap insurance. I also take anti-oxidants as I run and there has been some convincing research that has linked exercise to the increased production of free radicals.

I take iron because i only eat meat about twice a year and get a headache if i dont take it, vit c with added zinc because vit c helps you absorb the iron and zinc is good for my skin, gluco.something sulphate for my joints because i do alot of walking and get an achy knee, a vit b complex for energy, omega 3 and a multi vitamin, oh and evening primrose oil for girly times :)

Hi there, I take Spirulina and an antioxident, I exercise a lot.
I lack in Iron which means I lack in energy some days.
    They help heaps!!!
Just don't drink Tea or Coffee 1 hour either side of taking vitamins, caffeine has its downfalls.

I take multivitamins and iron supplements. I use PPI for acid reflux which impairs my ability to absorb iron the " natural" way... I know my sister-in-law has stopped using supplements as she is getting her daily needs through food... She looks great by the way. My advice is to have some lab work done to see if you have any deficiencies and add foods to your diet that will compliment your needs then go from there. Always a good idea to talk to your healthcare provider..
