Hi grace, I did this a few months ago for a few weeks and did well then got tired of it and stopped. Now I have been back for 10 days and lost 5 lbs in the first 6 days and then gained almost 4 lbs in the past 4 days! So yeah, feeling a bit discouraged but hoping to see at least those four pounds fall back off in the next 35 days! I'm with you!
Eek. Sounds like you might be weighing yourself too often. I would suggest weighing-in once per week, and always at the same time (and on the same day). Benefits: You'll get a much better idea of what your body is doing and you won't get discouraged with all the fluxuations that happen from day-to-day (because these ups and downs are natural).0 -
OK, i pushed again to end my yesterday journal, lol, and it says: 140.3 lbs, Let's hit it.0

I made a note of it in my calender for 5 weeks from yesterday. It says 190 exactly.0

A suggestion - post your measurements next to the scale number. The problem with looking only at weight is that it's not telling you if that weight is fat, which is fluffy, or muscle, which is compact. If the scale doesn't move but you lose an inch, isn't that just as important? Isn't this about more than just losing weight?
And, remember that you may not see that inch difference in yourself - you really need to measure. I started out a size 16/18 and am now a size 6/8/10 (you ladies will understand the size range!), but I see myself still as the 16/18.0 -
I'm in, thanks for the challenge!!0

My projected weight is 138.1 in 5 weeks (4/5) - let's "get er done"!!!
It was almost correct - my weight today was 138.8. Just have to work
a little harder0 -
Wow.... my projected weight was 197, and I came in at EXACTLY 197. That's almost spooky.... especially since I've been fiddling around with my calorie intake, lowered it for a while and felt horrible so now it's up higher. Next up: in 5 weeks I'll weigh 188....?0
-
I'm in too...I'm new to this website and I never noticed the 5 week projected weight!0
-
I did it !!!! Met my goal !! Lovin MFP!!0

If every day were like today... You'd weigh 66.2 kg in 5 weeks - on 5 April. We shall see!
Yup - I met my goal too! New one says I'll be 65 kg exactly on 21 May.0 -
I agree...you have to measure as well as weigh. It helps on the days the scale doesnt move much.0
-
Oh my projected is 142.3. I have a trip planned Memorial Weekend so this would be great.0
