Hi Guys,
I have looked around the site and I am so inspired by so many of you. You are doing incredible work! :flowerforyou:
That said, I feel safe enough to post pictures now. I never thought I would do it this early on, but I think I need to do it so I can lose not only my weight, but also my shame and anger at myself for getting so big
I started this journey on December 2nd, 2011 and busting out of a SIZE FORTY women's pants. Yowza! :noway:
I hit my -70 lb mark on 04/07/12 and I'm down 4 pant sizes so far.
I think I'm doing pretty well. I feel great and I'm ready to knock down my next 70!
Here I am on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, wrapping gifts and wondering how the #&$^ I was going to get up off that floor! I could barely walk and I remember being so miserable because all my family was here and I was supposed to be enjoying myself. I was dying inside.
And, here I am last week after a workout. I gain weight in my belly first, but fortunately that's where I lose it first too.
My non-scale victories include:
*Eliminating my excruciating back pain.
*Reducing my hip pain.
*Reducing my knee pain.
*Being able to buckle the seatbelt in my mom's teeny-tiny truck without an extender.
*Not being winded from just ... walking.
*Losing my shame enough to start biking, something I love, love, love so, so, much.
*Eliminating elevator use at work - stairs only.
*Fitting into clothes that I had LONG forgotten about.
*Getting mad because some clothes I had forgotten about are NOW too big and I never got a chance to re-wear them (LOL!)
*No more wide-width shoes!
*Seeing my waist line slowly surely come back.
*Not taking up so much room when I ride the city bus, fitting in ONE seat.
*Being comfortable enough to start posting body pics online (for years I wouldn't do it, just my face).
*Seeing steep hills as a challenge and not an obstacle.
*Being okay in the presence of the "junk food table" in my department at work and knowing that I really don't want anything on it.
Thanks y'all. Stay inspired and keep moving!
ETA: I give up. I have changed the "IMG" to lowercase, removed the " %20 " that represents a space. I'm done. I'll do a collage and just add that to my profile pics. Thanks for coming by everyone.
