Potassium rich foods

I have heard it is hard to lose weight if you don't have enough potassium in your diet. I looked at my logs and I hardly have any. Can anybody tell me what foods are high in potassium? The only one I know is bananas.

I've noticed some foods that I know contain potassium don't actually have it on the nutrition labels or aren't on some of the options when I log my food. I love lima beans, but one brand I buy doesn't even show the option of potassium on the label, but they definitely have it. I think I'll go have some right now0

Don't forget a multi-vitamin. It will really only boost your potassium RDA by 3-5% depending on what's in it, but it's a really easy way to boost MANY of your categories, like Vit. C and Iron. (without any added calories too!)0

Yes this is the problem . You almost NEVER see a product that went through the hassle of getting the potassium amount checked by a lab. Common foods such as beans, lettuce, and tomatoes (and I only name those because they're very common for me in particular) keep you from being deficient without you ever realizing it, though.
As for whether or not a potassium deficiency hinders weight loss, it sounds like nonsense.0 -
Some weird things that have it include cocoa powder. I took a steriod for a sinus headache and one of the side effects was low potassium.. as soon as I ate something with potassium, I stopped being so wicked thirsty.
Also, oranges (or OJ), dried apricots, raisins, baked potato with skin, tomato paste, white beans, yogurt...

Very high
Dried apricots, carrot juice, prune juice, many beans, spinach, winter squash, potatoes.
A Google Search for 'potassium food' brings up many links.
Daily minimum is 4.7 grams @ day
Don't rely on pills for enough potassium, though.
I get cramps in my legs and/or feet when I forget to keep up my potassium levels.
Also, my heart has a tendency to go into A-Fib when potassium is too low.0
