Has anybody here gotten tattooed while they were husky and then lost a pile of weight? If so I'm curious as to how the tattoos look now. I have a couple big tattoos on my arm/shoulder and I'm wondering if they'll warp or something as my arms get smaller. Anybody have any experience with this?

My friends Mom has lots of Tattoos and after losing over 100 lbs they are ok well at least the ones I have seen. Mine are on my ankles and any time I lose a bit pf weight they just wrap around a little more but look fine.0

thanks, that eases my mind a bit0

Hey Freeheart, you don't have anything to worry about. I have both shoulders heavily tatted up, and they have survived both 80 pounds gained and 80 pounds lost. You should be good to go. (Though mine could definately use some touching up as the ink has faded over the last 4 or 5 years )0

touch ups just give me that fever again I have found I always end up getting something new when I have a touch up:embarassed: I am so weak:laugh:0

Mine are fine too. I guess because I didn't have them covering saggy skin. I had mine when I was real heavy also. Ankle, Back and Shoulder.
I've seen some on arms before that got saggy, but I think if you work out and tone, they will be fine.0 -
This makes me so happy, I can finally go ahead with my quarter sleeve now. I was figuring I'd have to wait until I hit my goal weight!0

I am getting my new tat on the 29th under my right hip bone....I am hoping to lose at least 5 more lbs b4 then but if not oh well! I am soooo excited.
As for my other 7 they didn't change at all since I have been 100llbs and 100+ (LOL)...it is ALL GOOD!

Hey, I lost 60 lbs, gained some back, lost some again, and my tatt still looks as good as it did when I 1st got it!!0

I stupidly got a tatoo on my hip, of course not thinking hmmmmm this might stretch during pregnancy. lol, well that hasn't happened yet but I gained about 30 lbs after I got it and it stretched kind of out of shape. I'm noticeing now that it's going back to it's old shape.... But really it always looks the same just got larger, and is now getting smaller.... SO hopefully that is all that happens with yours, I don't think they will change too much, as you aren't looking to lose 100+ lbs or anything0

Hi Zen...Will you share what artwork you're going to have done?0 -
I draw all my own tats and this one is a Goddess she doens't have a name yet LOL but it will come to me when it is done. My other one will be a bracelet of tribal work with my boys initials and d-dates in it somewhere somehow.

my tats are on my ankle and one on my left shoulder blade (hearts with each of my kids' first initials and hubby's first initial is in the middle of the three hearts). when i lost twenty pounds before my last surgery, the ankle one was fine. i didn't have the shoulder one yet, so no idea *L*0
