Getting Healthy & Looking For Some Motivating Pals

:smile: Hi, I'm Melissa (mbcan316) and I've recently made some lifestyle changes to get healthy, lose weight & keep it off. I am not dieting anymore. I am making better food choices (veggies, fruits, complex carbs, lean protein) and getting more exercise. I need to lose about 50 lbs.

Today I am beginning my "Walk a Day" commitment. I plan to walk for 30 minutes to an hour EVERYDAY for the next 30 days. That is my initial goal. I also do strengthening exercises 3 to 4 times a week. I have a bad back due to disc degeneration, so I am limited in the types of exercises that I can do.

I would love to meet some MOTIVATING pals to help keep me on track and reaching my goals. Feel free to Friend Request me if you have similar goals & need some positive motivation. :smile:

    I have also started a nightly walk routine with my kiddos and they love it and look forward to it!

    That's a great idea to include your kids! I think I will invite my son to join me on some walks at night too. It's a great way to have some "family time" and still get your exercise in. :)
