Runners do you hate when your shoe is updated?

Hey all,
Just looking for some sympathy from you runners out there. I bought a new pair of shoes about 2 weeks ago. I hate doing this. Breaking in new shoes is never fun, but I stuck with the same shoe I had before since it had worked well for me.
Unfortunately, they updated the shoe, and now, after I've put about 30 miles on them, all the old aches and pains (that were solved with the previous verson) have come back!
Wahhhh!

If you have to break in a shoe, then I would question whether you are in the right shoe to begin with. You shouldn't need a breaking in period at all. If it's the right shoe, it should work right out of the box.
I have been running in Mizuno Wave Rider 13's since they came out. I have skipped the 14's and the 15's because the 13's just work so well for me. I scour the Internet to find them so I don't have to go to a new version of this shoe. I started out in the 11's, which were fantastic. Went through a couple pair of those before I tried the 12's and they SUCKED! Bought some more 11's that bridged me until the 13's came out. I am currently in pair 9 and 10 of the 13s and I dread the day I can't find another pair on the Internet. One of those pair is getting close to the magical 500 mile mark and will soon be retired. Can you feel my angst?0 -

You are right. I should clarify that they did actually work for me out of the box. It's just now, with about 30 miles on them that I'm feeling all the aches and pains.
I should have followed your lead and searched the web for the Ride 3's that I loved so much.0
