This is something I'm still trying to figure out, as my issue has always been not eating enough. If I had to say right now, though, I'm discovering I need:

Spinach, or some other mixed greens
    Eggs
    Yogurt
Berries and a multitude of other fruits/veggies

I am hoping to add things like nuts, lentils, and beans to that list, soon.

    Must haves:

    Boneless skinless chicken breast
Some shaved turkey from a local deli
(I eat a lot of poultry, can you tell?)

    Plain greek yogurt
low carb grain tortilla wraps - various 'flavors'.
    BLUEBERRIES (pretty much my crack)
    baby carrots
SPINACH - I can easily eat 1-1 1/2 bags of the fresh stuff each week.
    romaine lettuce blend
    grape/cherry tomatoes
apples (mostly granny smith, but branching out lately)
    strawberries
    BLACKBERRIES, yum!
raspberries (not much of late, sick of them rotting so fast, last few containers were crap by the next day)
    Egg whites for omelets
Peppers - green, red, yellow, orange
Oatmeal, I stay stocked on it.
Sugar free jello cups - great little snack.
Nuts - ALMONDS & walnuts, pecans sometimes.
Atkins bars - lots of protein, quick snack if on the go, not horrible for you.
Asparagus - we eat this a lot.
Celery - my new addiction after not eating it for quite some time.
    Turkey burgers, lean ones, seasoned.
    Black beans (no salt added)
    Fat free cream cheese
    Hummus
    Avocados
Sugar free (Smucker's) fruit preserves (jam)
    PB2

Probably more, but I tend to always have items like this on the shopping list.

  • We eat pretty much the same thing for breakfast, lunch, and snacks everyday:

Eggs, English muffins, Smart Balance butter, coffee, creamer, and sugar (haven't been able to give up just a little sugar in my coffee) covers breakfast.

Chicken and brown rice for lunch, spiced a different way each week.

Lots of fruits: Currently bananas and little oranges, but it varies week to week.

    Nuts and trail mixes.

    Greek Yogurt.

Just started keeping Bare Naked granola.

    Extra-virgin olive oil and popcorn.

We've been cooking something out of the Eat Clean Cookbook for dinner most nights for variety and add in a good many vegetables here. The leftover veggies get used for snacks too. My guy is an awesome cook and sometimes he just makes up recipes too, but we try to keep it healthy still, stir fry, etc. Pretty inexpensive and healthy!
