Grocery Staples!!! What are your must haves? or Great finds?

i have found that i cannot live without my josephs whole wheat and flax pita breads. they are 60cal a piece, and REALLY satisfy my cravings for sandwiches/wraps. they are super versatile too...you can add sauce, veggies, and cheese to make a pizza, theyre great for making bacon and egg wraps in the mornings, you can cut 'em up and bake 'em to make pita chips...i LOVE them.
frozen fruit is also something i cannot do without. i use it in the mornings to make smoothies for the whole family. the frozen fruit is cheaper, lasts longer than fresh fruit, and negates the need to put ice in the smoothies since it works as a chiller for the smoothies.
70/90 count shrimp are a great low-cal way to get some protein after the gym, or if i'm looking for a healthy snack. 15 shrimp in a serving gets ya 100calories. i eat them as shrimp cocktail, but will also toss em in a pan with a little olive oil and garlic to whip up a quick satisfying meal.
spinach and kale are something we buy weekly as well. they go into the morning smoothies and give us a jump start on our green intake for the day. even our 9yo drinks em and has NO issue knowing that there is kale and spinach in his fruity drink.
i think those are my main staples at the moment.
OH and we LOVE the little packets of tuna...SUPER convenient. no need for a can opener, no need to drain, and each packet is a SINGLE serving, as opposed to the can which is 2. add a little mayo or hummus for a nice tuna wrap...or just toss on greens for a tuna salad. we like that a lot, though it is more expensive than buying the cans.0 -
TORTILLAS-in the chips section at Walmart there are Mama Lupes tortillas. The smallest size not low fat or cal is only 77 cals for one, they taste way better than other tortillas i have eaten. I don't really like the others but these are delicious.

The most basic staples that I seem to continuously replenish the fridge / pantry with:
Spinach / Romaine / some sort of salad or lettuce mix
Frozen skinless chicken breasts
laughing cow light cheese wedges ( I like the garlic and herb one)
CARROTS... I buy a huge bag every other week... dogs love them too
1% milk
Orowheat Healthful 10 grain bread
Popcorn... usually white cheddar... different brands... last one was a Trader joe's one... have yet to try it out
Pretzel thins - I like the everything ones... go good with a 35 cal. laughing cow wedge for a salty snack
FiberOne bars. God I love these... fav is the caramel chocolate pretzel one.
Lots and Lots of different salad dressings... I get bored easily... I'm trying Bolthouse yogurt ranch today. MMmmmMMM!
Chicken Sausages, usually from Trader Joe's... Chicken Jalapeno, Chicken Andouille, they're all good...
Raisins... the little red boxes... both regular and yogurt covered.
Those little 60 calorie pudding cups... those are really good too...
Lots of fresh fruit. Always have bananas, apples and at least one other random fresh fruit on hand.

Natures own light bread in white and wheat only has 40 calories a slice and is yummy and I use these huge tortillas that are 98%fat free and have 100 calories in them they are called La Tortilla factory Smart and Delicious 100 calorie tortilla they have 8 grams of fiber as well!0 -
