Banana Bread Protein Shake

Today I made a Banana Bread Protein Shake, thought I would share the recipe :)

Ingredients:
- 1 cup almond or soy milk (I used almond breeze vanilla)
- 1/2 a medium banana
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used allmax isolate)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 quick oats/oatmeal (you can cook these before hand if you wish, I prefer not though)
- add your favourite type of sweetner if you have a sweet tooth!

Throw all the ingredients in a blender with a few ice cubes and enjoy! :) I prefer to add the quick oats in after the rest of the shake is blended, I like to use a large straw so you can drink the flakes whole- adds a nice texture, and you can use a spoon to eat the remainder at the bottom of your shaker :)

344 cals, 6g fat, 231mg sodium, 39g carbs, 7g fiber, 8g sugar, 33g protein

    sounds awesome and I have all the ingrediants other then the protein powder...BOO! I find myself going over on my protein with just turkey, eggs and chicken and such, how important is protein powder??

    You could make it without the powder for sure, especially if you already have enough protein in your diet. Instead you could add vanilla yogurt, or greek yogurt which has a ton of protein in it, or simply just put in more milk.
