If you know that the situation is caused by excess weight, then you already know your answer. No easy way out, no quick remedy, just good ole hard work and dedication.

if the snoring is due to the weight then you only have one option and thats to lose it.... or sleep in another room.

start getting fit and active and eat healthy and you will see huge changes.

you can get sticky plasters go over the outside of your nose - athletes use them the enhance air flow - they are supposed to help a bit with snoring

tbh I snore a bit if im really tired - dont think snoring is completely a weight thing

    Hi,

I snored even when I was 16 and thin. I had tonsillectomy, and that helped me for a while.
The bigger I am, the louder I snore.
Sleeping on your back is the worst, so try to find other positions. I try to fall asleep later than my husband. (I read ebooks mostly.)
Snoring is not good for you either if it is caused by apnea, because you can have a real rest while you sleep.
If you go to check your sleeping, maybe you got real help, not just the boring get thin answer, which doesn't allways a solution.

thanks,I am going to speak to dr and I am going to take hubby with me!

I am going to use a neti pot tonight to see if that helps and I will try and lie on my side as I always lie on my back!!

Ask your hubby if you stop breathing for a bit?

Snoring is not always a weight thing. My Dad snored like crazy, his nasal passages were too narrow. BTW he was a skinny as a rail back then. He got nose surgery and that helped lots.

I'm not very big and I snore if I'm super tired or congested.

If you sleep on your back that probably makes your snoring worse. Sew a tennis ball into the back of your jammies to make you roll to your side.

And, I agree, you should see a dr since sleep apnea or some other medical problem could be the cause.
