    I love astronomy and telescopes - ground my own mirrors and made my telescopes in college.
    I love doing sleight of hand and entertaining
    I love organic gardening and raining veggies and native plants and flowers
    I love to cook with the veggies I grow, and enjoy wines with the meals
    I love hiking and bird-watching
    I love reading The New Yorker magazine
    I used to collect gems and minerals but that got expensive
    I used to brew beer and grow hops, but that got time-consuming
    I love road trips - from a half day to a month-long.

    I like to collect and make weird looking dolls. I have a thing for marionettes and mannequins. I really like buying a plain doll that has been thrown out and making it look like a tim burton creation.

    I'm a volunteer firefighter and AEMT. I also hang out with my friends at drum circles and play my bodhran (irish frame drum).

    I got soo many.

    Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, shooting, I grow a garden and raise chickens and rabbits for food, airbrushing, Pyrography (woodburning), guitar, paint miniatures, video games, RPG's (tabletop), reading.

    All sorts i guess. I like tapestry work and embroidery though work usually interferes. Like going out on my bike but recently had hip surgery so not allowed! Tend to be ferrying my daughter to and from 5 dance classes and 4 swimming sessions each week so time for myself is limited!!!:ohwell:

    I write and play music. My instruments are guitar, piano, violin, and vocals. I like nursing animals back to health. I like trail walking/running. I like adventure.

    My hobbies...

    Climbing (rock climbing not breaking and entering), playing the piano, composing music, martial arts, complementary therapies, PC games, thinking up new ways of torturing my gym buddy ("Hey, I just discovered a new exercise!" "Oh, no, what now?"). I would put gambling but it's not a hobby so much as a second income. ;)

    Since I like general "talent" and read all day at work, my hobbies are music (discovering new music and going to concerts...not playing), playing frisbee with my dog, sports, and my newest hobby is homebrewing.

    I loving beading. I make jewelry and decorate with beads. There are lots of things you can do with beads. I've done this since I was a kid. It's a wonderful way to pass time and keep your mind busy.

    I took a basic beading class and have done a little bead weaving on my own. It is cool. I love crafts, but to get really good at them takes a lot of time and money. For the moment, I'm focusing on sewing and tailoring. They are expensive and time-consuming enough.

    One good thing about working with your hands is that it's very inconvenient to eat while doing it.
