New friends!

Hi!

I was just wondering if there were any UK peopleout there with public food diaries that don't mind a friend request coming their way? I say UK purely because I don't recognize most of the American foods people list haha.

I am just trying to get new ideas for food as I tend to stick to the same kinds of things all the time. It would also be nice to see people the same kind of stats as me (5ft5/180 pounds) just to see how much exercise they are doing and calorie intakes per day.

Cheers,
Ashleigh x

Hi Ashleigh - I would like to respond to your friend request! I have just started this yesterday and its come as quite a shock how quickly you run through your calorie allowance!

I'm not 5'5 and 180, more like 6' and 228 - but hey we both have the same goal at the end of the day!

I managed to lose a stone in the last year and have kept it off until recently when I have put 4 pounds back on so I'm trying to get tighter control of my calorie intake as my issue has always been with food - i actually don't mind exercising!

Writing down what I'm consuming is confronting to say the least, previously I would just eat it and forget it - now it stares right back at me on the diary!

I know doing this would be easier if you had someone to share it with and get motivated with, and honestly I'm too embarrassed to share it with people I know!!

So if you don't mind I'll add you to my friend list (if I can figure out how to do it!) and hopefully your success will motivate me and vice versa!

c25k is a pretty good program. I couldn't run at all (literally 2 minutes max), I have been using it on and off over the past year and now I can run just under a 10 minute mile :) so keep at it.
