Try any of the "weight Gainers" . If you look at the protein/carb/fat ratio's they right in line with any slimfast, etc. meal replacemnets, only the serving size is 4 times the size. Use one scoop insatead of 4 and it lasts a long time.Most of them taste pretty good too!0

Does this one you get at Sams club have low sugars and carbs I need one with high protien.0

I second making your own if you are looking at cost. You can find some cage free powdered egg whites for very reasonable online, as well as like a "green mix" with lots of nutritious greens, then add it some almond milk and fruit, maybe a carrot or some spinach and you have one healthy shake without lots of artificial sweetners.0

Sometimes when I get the jones for a milkshake, I make my normal protein shake, but I will add a sugar free pudding up to it, a little bit of ice and stick it in the blender. Ohhh man. Tastes like a real milkshake.0 -

DW & I used to use Herbalife shakes, but they are a bit higher in sugar than we liked, plus they are more like a protein blend and we couldn't find out if the soy bits were non-GMO. So we moved to Whole Nectar protein powder ( http://www.wholenectar.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=1 )which is really low in sugar and is made from non-GMO soy. It is a really good powder.
However, we have recently discovered that we don't always need the protein powder. This is the shake we made yesterday:
Then today's was a Kale Base with Blueberries, Pineapple, Apples and Papaya.0 -
I like Boost High Protein shakes in vanilla and chocolate. I got them a few weeks ago at Target for my friend when she broke her jaw, but I tasted them both and got hooked!0

I use 1 heaping scoop of vanilla protein, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, 1/3 cup of oatmeal mix with water and ice in a blender.
This keeps me full for hours and has around 325 calories.0 -
Any combination of whey + carbs (and fat, if you like), will do.
Examples:
* 1 scoop whey + 1 cup milk
* 1 scoop whey + 1/2 banana + water + ice
* 1 scoop whey + 1 cup milk + 1/2 banana + 1-2 tbsp peanut butter
* 1 scoop whey + 1/2 cup oats + water + ice
etc, etc, etc, I think you get the idea0 -
Did a little research and came across Idealshape. Is anyone familiar with this one?
I have it and love it! I used to use it daily, 1 or 2 a day, now i have it more occasionally, but had a fantastic shake today! Depending on what i want the cal count to be, i add peanut butter and a little butterscotch sugar free pudding mix, or just some fruit, etc. They are also good plain. I use unsweetened almond milk as my base.
Feel free to message me if you have questions about it. (I am NOT a rep, they dont do that! I get no referral points or anything like that, just share my honest opinion)0 -
thanks so much for ALL your replies! and Recipes! That's awesome! i guess since I'll be eating healthfully I'll have a chance to try most of these right?! Thanks again-- this site and the people continue to amaze me!0

I really like the WalMart Brand "Body Fortress" I started with Chocolate, and added Strawberry and vanilla once I found I liked the taskes and consistency. Not grainy at all. I add different things depending on my mood each day, but almost always use almond or coconut milk which have less carbs (unsweetened versions) its only about 14.95 for one large container.
This is the only brand I've tried and I like it...doesn't taste like cake batter LOL but I mix it with frozen fruit and water and I'm happy with it.0 -
You should try the EAS Carb Advantage Chocolate Fudge. It has 17 grams of Protein and 110 Calories. The strawberry are also very good. I get them at Sam's Club in a 24 pack for $27. They also have them at Wal-Mart in 4 packs.
I also like EAS Carb Advantage, if you're looking for a premade. I've only tried the chocolate fudge, but it's good .... and I don't particularly like chocolate.
It is more cost-effective to make your own. Muscle Pharm is delicious and very smooth - my son really enjoys it. I wanted something with fewer carbs and less fat, so I use a vanilla whey protein from Vitamin World (because it's convenient) - Precision Engineered Hardcore series. I mix mine with some chia seed gel and a squirt of SF DaVinci syrup (Kahlua is really tasty) I can also throw in some berries. Much more economical, but i keep the EAS around for grabbing quickly.0 -
