Using a food scale.

Options
So, I bought a food scale. It seems like a lot of foods end up being way off from what I would expect. A cup of spinach or kale is HUGE. Same with yogurt, I guess? Am I doing something wrong?

Nope not doing anything wrong....one serving of spinach is about half the bag, and a cup of yogurt and cottage cheese is alot more than one would expect...just keep measuring your foods and weighing them and you cant go wrong

I doubt it. I was surprised a lot when I started weighing food. If you want to test your scale though, grams of water weigh the same as it's volume in ml. 100ml=100g.

My scale allows for ounces and grams. Where possible, I always weigh in grams. Seems to be a bit more accurate than measuring out "1 cup" and such.

Alright, thanks for the reassurance. I just ate two cups of yogurt and I was getting freaked out eating that much! And yeah, I don't really even try to track greens at this point. It's useless. Hahah.
