Hi all,
So i just had a gorgeous peanut butter protein smoothie from a healthy food place near me. It contains low fat yogurt, banana, skimmed milk, protein shot and peanut butter. Love it and it fits into my daily limit.
HOWEVER... i noticed they used regular peanut butter - it wasn't the natural, no added sugar kind i normally use.
Will this matter a great deal?
Too late now really as i have drunk it and it was yum! but still...
thanks! xxx

No. Dont freak out over one difference. Just dont get it next time if you really dont want the sugar.0

Matter? Probably not since it is a one-off drink you had.
Honestly, I bought some "Natural" peanut butter and other than being HIGHER in calories there wasn't much difference from the Jif I already had in the cupboard.0 -
Fits inside your calorie intake? No probs.0

Thank you!! more exercise for me tonight to work it off xxx0

Thank you!! just worried about the sugar but hey ho...it's done now!!! and will burn off the cals tonight (the smoothie took me over my daily allowance of 1220). xxx0 -
I have been buying peanut butter from an organic grocery so i can get it without added sugar, but there appears to be no difference in the calories. The Skippy "low fat" seems to be about the same as well.
It might make a difference if you can get it ground from fresh peanuts for you (GNC used to do that in some stores), but probably not much of a difference.
I say don't worry - just make sure it fits in your calories.0 -

Read the ingredient label- BIG difference. Macros are the same but many of us try to avoid the partially hydrogenated oils and other assorted goodies in Jif.
To the original poster- don't sweat it, one drink won't throw off your diet!0
