Can't Lose the Weight

Hey all,
First off, I'm 5'7", 18, and 142 pounds. I'm trying to lose some weight for summer. I've been eating mainly veggies and fruit with some rice and noodles and such and I make sure whenever I'm ACTUALLY hungry, I eat (I drink at least a cup of water before to make sure I'm not just bored or thirsty). I work out almost everyday just to burn some energy and such (about 300 Cal).
BUT
I'm not losing weight. It's been almost 2 weeks since I lost any weight at all, and I'm not sure what to do.... I'm opening up my diary to everyone, so please, if you have any suggestions, I'd love to know.
Thank you so much.

I wasn't able to view your diary, but I see you are 5'8" and your goal weight is 110 pounds. 110 pounds is NOT a healthy goal weight for someone of your height. Hell, I'm less than 5'2" and my goal weight is 105-110.
That being said, I'm going to make a wild guess and say you are probably starving yourself. How many calories are you eating?0 -
I'm 5'7 and about 150 lbs. I want to get to 130 lbs, but I'm not dead set. If your goal is 110 I can't imagine how that would look. I wish you that best, but please stay healthy0

Maybe just focus on continuing to eat healthy & do lots of exercise so you tone up your body. You may find you are happier with your appearance once things tone up and change shape. I don't think your goal weight needs to be so low - you can still look smokin' hot with toning up rather than being a really low weight. But hey, that's just my opinion. Good luck0

Lower the carbs (bread, rice, pasta, starchy veggies, high sugar fruits) and up your protein (chicken, beef, tenderloin), fat (olive oil, peanut butter), non starchy veggies, and lower sugar fruits. Eat at a deficit to lose about a pound a week as you are pretty small already. 110 isn't a realistic goal, much too low for your height. Shoot for 130.0

Im only starting this weight loss craic.. but i know that if youre what only doin it 2 weeks?? first off if you were unfit then you wont have much muscle and you are peobably now building muscle which is heavier than fat so take you waist and hip measurements every 2 weeks and you might see the difference. also it takes you 4 weeks to notice any real change in your body. but keep in mind that 110 pounds is an unhealthy weight for your height your bmi shouldnt be under 18.50

Have you recorded your measurements? I was getting very frustrated because I hadn't lost a single ounce in 2 weeks. I was glad I had taken my measurements at the start of all this. I found that even though my scale hadn't changed, I'd lost 1.5% body fat, while maintaining my lean body mass. Check out the calculator at: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/cbbf/
It was very helpful and motivating!0 -
based on BMI, 118 is the borderline for underweight at your height. I don't think you should be looking at pounds, but inches instead.
I also can't see your diary, (Settings, Diary Settings, then the Public bubble at the bottom, then save changes)
but without seeing it:
1.Your BMR is about 1400 at the most sedentary setting. Make sure you absolutely don't eat less than this each day.
2. Exercise more, and eat your exercise calories
3. Take measurements, and use these as a goal instead of pounds. You want to look better in a bathing suit, right? Nobody's measuring how much water you're displacing in the pool.0 -

Hey all, thanks so much.
I'm really not starving myself. And I admit, 110 is unlikely, it was just a number for now, 130-125 is more likely, and when I was a competing fencer that was my weight. I just want to get back to what I was like then. So I totally forgot to open my diary because of class, so I'm doing it now, but thanks so much. I'm eating as much as I can0 -

Hi, I'm no expert, but the majority of your days you've only consumed 750 or less calories. You really should strive for a minimum of 1000 calories a day with 1200 being optimal. My guess is your body is conserving for those lean periods. Although, many will say there is no such thing as starvation mode. I guess you're not really starving yourself, but you're not really giving your body the fuel it needs to exist and perform on a daily basis. That being said, when I was 21 years old, I was 5'7" and 115 pounds. When I look at those pics now, I look a bit too thin. Please reconsider your goal of 110.0

You're not eating enough. Your BMR (based on your goals and info you've provided) is 1500. Considering you are a healthy weight right now you should not be eating under BMR. (taken from here http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/)
Why do you want to weigh less? What are you hoping to achieve by having a small number on the scale?0
