A Problem

This month has been a train wreck on every level and I need to ask some opinions on what I should do.
As it stands right now, I get about 6 hours of sleep. I go to bed at 11 and wake up around 5 or 6 - depending on the day. Every day I get more and more tired as the hours roll on.
I work as a pest control guy - carrying packs of liquid around for about 2 hours a day and driving for the other 6. I commonly am nodding off - and it gets pretty heavy on Thursday and Friday.
I use to run. I started about a month ago - and worked up to about 7.5 miles in one stretch. It was good for me - and my puppy. The problem is - I'm SO TIRED - ALL THE TIME and the running has made it so much worse - and it's really hard to e motivated to go out and actually run.
I did two rounds of Insanity workouts from Nov-Feb. That was good for me, but my schedule was not quite as busy with my job. I leave the house around 7 am and return around 6 pm.
My calories are set to lose a pound a week - but I never can stay under because I'm so hungry/tired on the road.
I'm in a pickle. I can't trade my sleep time for workout time, because I am afraid I will fall asleep at the wheel.
I need some suggestions people. What can I do to stay under, be motivated to workout (with some energy) or both. What can I do? On top of all that, my slow weight fluctuation/gain has really discouraged me.
Please leave a line - if you think it could help or not.
Grace and Peace.

How are you eating? I mean I assume you are eating well, but what kinds of foods? The same types or mixing it up and using a variety?
I work in aircraft maintenance and have to be up at 4am everyday... going going going all day long and don't get home until 5ish AND I have a 4yr old {and husband but he can hold his own lol}. I used to workout in the morning but started becoming tired all of the time. Just like you. It was getting to the point I was always relying on coffee to keep me 'alert', so much so I was having a cup of coffee up until an hour of going to bed and was still able to fall asleep once my head hit the pillow.
SO my advice and this is just from the things I have changed up with my schedule/habits to be where I am at now {and I must say I am only drinking ONE cup of coffee now and that's before work}.
1. Getting a FULL 8hrs of sleep. I know it might suck to go to bed 'early' but it's so important to get enough sleep for your body to rest, especially REM sleep. If your REM sleep is interrupted, then you will throw everything off {and can cause the sleepiness throughout the day}.
2. When do you workout? Like I mentioned earlier, I was working out in the morning before work. Something had to change SO I now workout when I get home and with the energy it gives me for the next day, it also relaxes me, just in time for bed.
3. FOOD. Are you eating enough AND a variety? I have noticed that since I have incorporated more fruits and veggies and just a wider variety of healthy foods {vs. the same things allll the time} I seem to be alert and stay alert throughout the day AND I seem to sleep better as well. The vitamins and nutrients from all the different varieties really help your body stay alert and focused.
So those are the 3 major factors that I have noticed just with myself, from being tired all of the time to now being alert and focused.0
