Good for you. We all know about the battle with food or we wouldn't be here. You seem like you are beginning to face issues and that is healthy. There may be many, but with encouragement and commitment, you will be able to realize your goals. I like that you are looking forward. I read somewhere that looking back causes depression and looking too far forward causes anxiety; so just face the day you have been given. The best to you on your journey!

Great job!!!!....keep up the good work!!!! :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks for the inspiration. I have been doing this for 5 weeks and have lost 3lbs. The only reason I haven't gained is I work out hard 4 to 5 days a week. I feel bad because if I would eat right I would have lost more weight. But, your story has helped me. I'm going to keep on pushing.

Awesome work - its hard to come back from a PE, especially with impacts to your heart as well. 40 pounds down is a great effort. I know how hard it is with lung pain, loosing your breath and feeling like crap as well - I am 67days out from my own bilateral pulmonary embolism - I was lucky though, I only got a bit of dead lung on the side with mine, luckily skipped the heart issues. I had a bit of a head start on the weight loss - complications meant I was still in hideous pain from breathing and on so many pain meds that eating was unappetizing (drooling on opiates was the main activity at this point) - lost the first 12kgs in hospital. Up to about 5kg down since finding MFP and Vinyasa Hot Yoga.

So all power to you - keep up the good work and don't let the lungs get you down. Are you still on the rat poison (warfarin)? I was wondering if there was anyone else on here trying to kick some post PE weight - it was like a slap in the face for me. Awesome pics too.
